Privacy policy

Short version: we collect the details you send us, plus anonymous analytics you can switch off. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers.

What we collect

When you contact us or request the checklist

The email address you type, and anything you choose to write. Requesting the checklist sends us a notification containing your email address, the time and your IP address, so we can recognise abuse. We use it to reply and to send what you asked for.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies and records a truncated IP address, the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. It is configured with IP anonymisation on and with Google Consent Mode denying ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization — so it measures visits and does not build an advertising profile.

You can switch it off. Open the settings button in the bottom-right corner and choose “Do not track me”. The Google tag is then never loaded at all — not loaded and blocked, simply never requested. That choice is stored on your device.

Server logs

Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request logs including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. These are retained on their schedule, not ours.

What we do not collect

No advertising or cross-site tracking pixels. No session recording or heatmaps. No fingerprinting. We never ask for payment details through this website.

Cookies and local storage

• Your settings — text size, contrast, motion, link underlines and your analytics choice are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never reach us.
• Google Analytics — _ga and related cookies, only if you have not opted out. Google retains this data for 14 months.

Clearing site data removes all of it.

Who else sees it

• Google — analytics, unless you opt out.
• Resend — delivers the notification email when you request the checklist.
• Cloudflare — serves the site and filters malicious traffic.
• YouTube — video testimonials load from youtube-nocookie.com, and only after you press play. Until then nothing is requested from YouTube and no cookie is set. Once you play a video, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.

We do not sell or share personal information for money or for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept while the conversation is live and for up to three years afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Analytics is retained by Google for 14 months. Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will.

Your rights

Whatever your jurisdiction, we will honour these on request: know what we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of analytics. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute, along with the right not to be discriminated against for using them. If the GDPR applies to you, our basis for processing is legitimate interest for analytics — which is why the opt-out exists — and consent for anything you send us.

Email info@webconsultant247.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not respond to “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” requests separately, because we do not sell personal information at all.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. It is a static site with no database and no user accounts, so there is no store of personal information here to breach.
